Blast from the past

By Brithany Cervantes

In the past, different events occurred in our school. Many things have drastically changed from the past to today’s society. Things from kitten ball and pug ball are no longer existent at WPBHS. Fashion changes and the way of transportation have improved through the years.

Oct. 1935-the average student would have to walk around 280 miles to and from school throughout the school year.

Oct. 1948-the West Point Band participated in the Wayne State Teachers College homecoming parade.

Oct. 1956-five boys in FFA received 5 ribbons at the District 3 Livestock Judging Contest held in Scribner.

Oct. 1966-the football team was ranked #1. They won the homecoming football game against Oakland 34-7.
