Meet the Superintendent


Mr. Bill McAllister (Mr. Mac), Superintendent, West Point Public Schools

Professional Experience

Mr. Mac started his teaching career in 1985 at Sargent Public School in Sargent, NE where he was the 4th Grade Teacher, Head Football Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach. After Sargent he went to the University of Nebraska - Omaha to be the Assistant Football Coach. In 1991 he relocated to Sutherland Public School in Sutherland, NE where he was the Elementary Principal, Head Football Coach and the Curriculum Director. In 1998 he went to Concordia University in Seward, NE where he was the Student Teacher Supervisor, Assistant Head Football Coach and the Offensive Coordinator.  In 2005, he moved to Atkinson, NE where he was Superintendent of Schools for West Holt Public Schools for 10 years. Mr. Mac came to West Point Public Schools in July 2015. 


Mr. Mac received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Midland Lutheran College. He received his Master's in Education Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1991. He has a Specialist Degree that he received from University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2006. He has completed his course work for a Doctorate Degree with the University of Nebraska with an emphasis on Professional Development and Leadership.



Wife -

Peg - RN Works for St Francis Hospital with their Outpatient department.

Children -

Emily - Teacher at Schuyler, NE (Has two children: Benjamin and Olivia)

Faith – Optometrist Forth Worth, TX

Mariah – Nurse at Faith Regional Norfolk,  Ne (Baby due in September, 2021)

Josiah – Medical School at UNMC, is in third year of rotations.

Outstanding Teacher Award - Omaha World Herald - 1994

Shrine Bowl Coach - 1994    (Due to daughter's health issues he withdrew from the Shrine Bowl a few weeks prior to practice)
