West Point Public School has selected the Naviance Family Connection to assist us and our students in managing the college and career planning process.  Naviance Family Connections is a comprehensive college and career website for middle  and high schools that helps connect academic achievement to post-secondary goals.  Registration code information for students and parent can be obtained by contacting the Guidance Office.

Some features to explore in Family Connections include: 1) comprehensive information on thousands of college;2) college search that will provide a list of college that meet your criteria; 3) scholarship search; 4) list of scholarships (local, state, and nationally) that students can apply for; 5) career interest inventory, plus many more features.


Another Helpful College Planning Website is EducationQuest

Headquartered in Lincoln, EducationQuest Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve access to higher education in Nebraska.

We fulfill our mission through free college planning services, outreach services, need-based scholarship programs, and college access grants.

EducationQuest has locations in Lincoln, Kearney, and Omaha, Nebraska.  Omaha covers the West Point area.

EducationQuest resources that help students and parents:

  • research colleges

  • explore career options

  • look for scholarships

  • complete and file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

  • learn about student loans

All services are free and most are by appointment to provide families with one-on-one assistance.

Students and parents also learn about college planning and financial aid through our statewide college fairs, educational planning programs and financial aid programs.
