Today Mrs. Wooldrik’s 6th grade classes welcomed a guest speaker - Dr. Steve Hughes, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Nebraska Vet Services!
Dr. Hughes gave a lesson on cow embryos, cell reproduction, and dry ice, which will lead into Mrs. Wooldrik’s upcoming lessons on Mitosis. 🔬🐄

The boys sub-district bracket has been released!
The West Point-Beemer boys have earned the #2 seed in the C1-7 sub-district. The Cadets will travel to Wayne to take on Wakefield at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 20.

STATE BOUND!!! Congrats to the 2 West Point-Beemer boy wrestlers who qualified for the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha! Tanner Renner Manny Figueroa Boys state wrestling kicks off Thursday morning at 9:30 AM at the CHI Center!
Congratulations to these 9 West Point-Beemer students who were selected to the East Husker Conference Honor Band! Students selected were: Olivia Gross Ruby Barrios Sabin Bales Rachel Mayes Claire Stutzman Gavin Johnson Jaymin Johnson Nick Gierke Collin Stigge These students spent this past Monday at Wayne State College participating in a band clinic before performing a concert on Monday night for the public!

The JV Girls will now playing the High School Gym at 4:30 PM.
We will still do Girls Parents Night before start of warm-ups for varsity girls! We request girls parents to be at the school by 5:15 PM! We will be starting to announce the players and parents around 5:25PM!

- JV Girls will in Elementary Gym playing 2 quarters.
- JV Boys will be in High School Gym playing 3 quarters.
- Girls basketball players and parents will be announced before the start of the varsity girls game warm-up.
- Boys basketball players and parents will be announced before the start of the boys’ varsity game warm-up.
- Jr. Cadet Basketball will perform at halftime of the Girls basketball game.
- Cheer & Dance participants and parents will be announced at the halftime of the boy’s game. Dance will then perform their last full team routine after.
Please arrive early as parent's nights & games will start early if time allows!

The West Point-Beemer Girls Basketball Team has earned the #1 seed in the C1-7 Sub-District and will host the sub-district games next Tuesday & Thursday. The schedule of games is:
Game 1: #1 West Point-Beemer vs #4 Wayne @ 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13th.
Game 2: #2 Omaha Nation vs #3 Winnebago @ 7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 13th.
Winner of Game 1 vs Winner of Game 2 @ 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 15th.

Due to low numbers of girls and boys, the JV games on Friday have been shortened.
JV Boys will be 3 quarters in the High School Gym
JV Girls will be 2 quarters in the Elementary Gym.
Please arrive early for the games!
This night will also be Parent's Night for Boys & Girls Basketball and Cheer & Dance.
