The stage was busy that year! Featured in these pages are “The Lion Who Wouldn’t,” the school’s first musical in three years, and action shots from the production of “Guys and Dolls.” And for Sweetheart, the theme was “Crystal Blue Persuasion”, a very ’70s choice for the era!

Outside the halls of WPHS, America was preparing to celebrate its Bicentennial, bell-bottoms and platform shoes were in style, Jaws had everyone thinking twice about going in the water, and songs from Queen, Elton John, and the Bee Gees were filling the radio!

Erica talked about her path from high school to becoming a real estate agent and reminded students that where you end up may look completely different from what you originally pictured, and that’s okay!

She shared how the different jobs, experiences, and skills she picked up along the way have all played a role in the work she does today. A great reminder that every experience can teach you something and help prepare you for what comes next!

The 2015–2016 school year proved that sometimes you can tell a great story in just a few moments… "Long Story Short"!

This week's pages took us back to Homecoming Week and a Mardi Gras-themed Homecoming celebration! From dress-up days and school spirit to the parade, pep rally, football game, and dance, it was a week packed with purple, green, gold, and plenty of Cadet pride!

Back in 2015, students were snapping photos with the dog filter on Snapchat, singing along to Adele's Hello and Justin Bieber's Sorry, and seeing who could keep the longest streaks. Hoverboards were the hottest trend and everyone was trying to master the perfect Boomerang on Instagram.

Long story short? Homecoming has always been about more than decorations and dress-up days… It's about creating memories, celebrating school spirit, and making friendships that last long after the final bell.

A great hands-on project and a pretty cool way to see their hard work leave the classroom as a finished product! We are also accepting new projects for this year!
