17 years ago in Cadet History…
The year was 2009–2010, and our Cadets were “Piecing It All Together!” 🧩
Each page captured another part of what made the school year complete. From a look back at football season to the clubs and organizations that kept students busy, there was a place for everyone in the Cadet puzzle!
Meanwhile, outside the halls of WP-B, everyone was singing along to Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, watching Glee, playing Wii Sports, and updating their Facebook statuses. And who could forget Silly Bandz and the excitement of getting a new slide-out keyboard phone?
Different pieces. One unforgettable year!

Behind every team are coaches who give their time, energy, and heart to our students. ❤️🤍🖤
Today, on National Coaches Day, we want to recognize ALL of the coaches who make a difference, from our head and assistant coaches to the many others who help lead our activities and programs throughout the year.
While we could never fit every one of our coaches into a single post, we are grateful for each and every person who steps up to lead, teach, encourage, challenge, and support our Cadets throughout the year, and our appreciation extends far beyond the faces pictured here.
Thank you for the early mornings, late nights, practices, road trips, encouragement, lessons, and countless hours you invest in our students. Your impact goes far beyond the scoreboard.
Happy National Coaches Day! We appreciate you! ⚔️

Happy National Custodian Day to our incredible WPPS Maintenance Team! ❤️🤍🖤
From early mornings and late nights to keeping our buildings clean, fixing what’s broken, preparing for events, and tackling the unexpected, this crew does SO much to make our schools a great place to learn and work.
Their hard work often happens behind the scenes but the difference they make is seen and appreciated throughout our district every single day!
Please join us in giving our maintenance team a BIG thank you for everything they do for our students, staff, and Cadet community! We’d truly be a mess without you!

Dear Diary, the year was 1960–1961, and our Cadets were making memories!
This yearbook took a page straight out of a diary, capturing the moments that made the school year special. From the “Sports on Parade” Athletic Banquet to the seniors looking back on their favorite memories, every page told a little more of the story.
And perhaps the sweetest piece? “Then And Now,” featuring the senior class as first graders alongside their senior portraits. From little Cadets to graduates, what a difference 12 school years can make!
Meanwhile, outside the halls of WP-B, Elvis was on the radio, The Flintstones were on TV, and everyone was doing the Twist! Poodle skirts, saddle shoes, and drive-in movies were all part of the fun.

West Point Elementary Students - join in the Homecoming Fun! ❤️🤍🖤
Instead of our traditional elementary color days, PK–6 students are invited to participate in the same dress-up days as our 7–12 students. We’re giving it a try this year, so help us spread the word and start planning those outfits!
🚫 MONDAY, OCTOBER 5 | NO SCHOOL
🤠 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6 | Country vs. Country Club: Pick a side!
Country: Cowboy boots, flannels, denim, cowboy hats, etc.
Country Club: Polos, khakis, golf skirts, visors, sweaters over the shoulders, etc.
🩹 WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 | Fake an Injury Day
Think pretend bandages, slings, wraps, or other creative costume ideas!
🪩 THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8 | Decades Day
Choose ANY decade you want! There are no assigned decades for PK–8 students or staff. Think ’70s bell-bottoms, ‘80s neon & big hair, ’90s throwbacks, 2000s fashion…or pick another decade you love!
🔴 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 | CADET PRIDE
You know the drill! Go all out in red, white, and black! ❤️🤍🖤
REMINDER: All dress-up day outfits should be school-appropriate and should not create a distraction to the learning environment. Have fun and get creative, but remember, we still have a school day to get through!
Participation is completely optional. We can’t wait to see our whole district getting into the Homecoming spirit! Help us spread the word to our elementary families!
