West Point Elementary has been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work®, one of only about 600 schools and districts in the U.S. and Canada to receive this honor!

This recognition highlights the dedication of our teachers and staff to:

This theme reflected the adventurous spirit of the late ’60s. With the moon landing on the horizon, youth culture booming, and new opportunities in academics, athletics, and the arts, students were encouraged to explore, grow, and look toward the future with curiosity and optimism.

🚨 Preschool Update 🚨

Our preschool air conditioners are currently not working properly, and parts will not arrive until Friday. With the upcoming forecast, ALL preschool classes are postponed until Monday, August 25.

Our students practiced bus evacuations today to make sure everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency. We’re proud of how seriously they took the drill and grateful to our drivers for keeping safety a top priority! 🚌✅

Schools are back in session across the state, so it's important to remember the law. You must always stop when a school bus stop arm is activated. The only exception is for traffic on a divided highway moving the opposite direction.
