Today the 5th Graders in Mrs. Wooldrik’s science class completed an activity as part of their ecosystem unit today, dissecting owl pellets!🦉 They discovered bones from various rodents (and even a few from birds)! WHOO knew learning could be this fun? #cadetpride⚔️

Another exciting opportunity for students this summer! Students are invited to participate in a unique summer opportunity through the Find the Why! (FTW!) platform, which has been selected by the Governor as a lead program for engaging students this summer for his Governors Summit. The Governor’s goal is to engage the first 3,000 students to sign up for the FTW! Challenge, running from July 7th to 14th, culminating in a special event on August 14th at the Governor’s Summit (100 to 300 students will be invited in person). This event will offer students the chance to meet with companies, collect prize money, and receive recruitment offers in person. Although there is a limited number of spots for in-person attendance, there will also be an online component, ensuring broader accessibility. The key demographic for this opportunity is 16 to 20-year-olds, but students as young as 13 are encouraged to participate for the chance to compete for prizes and recognition. Key Benefits for Students: Prize Money: $40,000 in total prize funds! FTW! Digital Resume: Students will build their FTW! Digital Resume and gain access to a new set of FTW! micro-credentials. Job Offers: Students may receive job offers from participating companies.
