6 girls qualified for the first ever NSAA girls’ state wrestling tournament in that starts on Friday, February 18 and concludes on Saturday, February 19!
The girls who qualified for the state tournament are Brisa Figueroa, Diana Cervantes, Brooklin Kuester, Saige Miserez, Ziomara Ruiz, & Claire Paasch.

Dear Parents,
This message has two main points I want to emphasize, please see the bottom for those points.
As you all know we have tried to keep you updated on the positive covid cases in the school. This is becoming more problematic as many are not being tested and are simply staying home when they are ill. THANK YOU all for keeping your children home when they are ill.
This past Wednesday we had 9 positive cases identified, yet nearly 10% of our students were out ill.
I have visited with our health department, local hospital and viewed a webinar from UNMC. All are sending the same message – THE NEXT FEW WEEKS ARE GOING TO BE TROUBLESOME, AND THE CASES ARE GOING TO INCREASE.
I specifically asked if taking a few days off of school would help and they all stated NO.

If you keep your child at home for two or more days, we highly recommend that they wear a mask when they return to school for five days.
It is our plan to continue with school if at all possible, knowing that dismissing will have no impact on our illness. However, yesterday we had 22 teachers, staff, administration out due to illness. If this number increases, we will be required to call off school simply due to not having enough staff. Unfortunately, there will not be much advanced notice for our families. Please make arrangements in the event we have to call off school due to staff illness.

This surge in Covid is expected to be short lived in nature and hopefully we will get through this bubble in the next few weeks.

Be prepared to sing a selected piece from the show as well as do a character cold-read.

Those unable to make a live auditions must submit a recorded audition to receive a character role. Recordings must be submitted by 9:00pm Tuesday, January 11th. All those wishing to join the cast after audition dates will be placed in the chorus or tech crew.

At the December 13th Board Meeting, The board approved a change to the calendar. In March 2021- The Calendar stated to have March 4th and March 11th off, but due to a state basketball change - We are now off of school March 9, 10, 11.
