Congratulations to the students from West Point-Beemer who were awarded the Spring NCPA Academic All-State Award! Please see attachment for the list of students. In order to be nominated a student-athlete must fit this criteria: 1. A nominated student must be a varsity player or organizational leader who has played a significant role on the team or in the organizational activity during the seasons for which nominations are accepted. 2. A nominated student must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average, in all curricular subjects, of 93% or 3.7 on a 4.0-point scale or the equivalent. 3. NSAA high schools or their cooperative sponsorship may nominate a maximum of two students per NSAA activity program. #cadetpride

BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION! Mr. Steve Conrad has been driving for West Point Public Schools for 21 years! Mr. Conrad is a "jack of all trades" when it comes to driving! He is the main driver of our RED route, drives most (if not all) of the field trips, and drives to many activities throughout the year! Thank You, Steve for everything you do for West Point-Beemer!

Congratulations to the 13 West Point-Beemer sixth graders who participated in the Pender Honor Band on Monday, May 1st.

Reminders for Seniors and Parents: Senior last day is tomorrow (Tuesday). Students need to be sure to bring all school owned books, computers, chargers, etc. Wednesday at 8:15 is the senior breakfast with graduation practice to follow. Seniors DO need to bring their cap/gown/stole/tassel to practice as we will be taking group photos!

BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION! Ray Maxwell has been driving bus for West Point Public Schools for 24 years! Ray drives primarily for activities but does occasionally fill in on a route! Thank You, Ray for driving for West Point-Beemer!

The Junior High Track Meet scheduled for today at Oakland has been postponed until Monday due to the weather forecast. Start Time for the meet on Monday will be 10:00 AM.

The GACC/SS/WPB baseball team will travel to Hastings next Thursday for districts! The Patriots will take on Wayne at 1:00 PM at Duncan Field. See attachment for full bracket!

NEW SCHOOL RECORD!! Congratulations to West Point-Beemer Sophomore, Mia Hunke, who set a new school record in the 300 meter hurdles yesterday at the North Bend Invitational! The previous record was held by Laura Langemeier and was set at the State Meet in 2006 with a time of 45.929. The new record that Mia set yesterday at North Bend was a time of 45.916. Another fun fact about the record, Mia also passed up her mom, Holly Hunke, who was 2nd on the list from 1995 in Districts!
