The 2015–2016 school year proved that sometimes you can tell a great story in just a few moments… "Long Story Short"!

This week's pages took us back to Homecoming Week and a Mardi Gras-themed Homecoming celebration! From dress-up days and school spirit to the parade, pep rally, football game, and dance, it was a week packed with purple, green, gold, and plenty of Cadet pride!

Back in 2015, students were snapping photos with the dog filter on Snapchat, singing along to Adele's Hello and Justin Bieber's Sorry, and seeing who could keep the longest streaks. Hoverboards were the hottest trend and everyone was trying to master the perfect Boomerang on Instagram.

Long story short? Homecoming has always been about more than decorations and dress-up days… It's about creating memories, celebrating school spirit, and making friendships that last long after the final bell.

A great hands-on project and a pretty cool way to see their hard work leave the classroom as a finished product! We are also accepting new projects for this year! This week's featured yearbook pages recognized the dedicated Faculty who shaped the next generation of Cadets and featured an unforgettable Athletics divider page with the football team gathered in a huddle, looking down at the camera—a unique photo that perfectly captured the unity and determination of the team.

Back in 1955, students were listening to the rise of rock 'n' roll with artists like Bill Haley & His Comets, grabbing a Coke at the local soda fountain, and dreaming about driving the newest Chevrolet Bel Air. Television was becoming a household staple, but Friday nights under the lights were still one of the biggest events in town.

Seventy-two years later, one thing hasn't changed: great teachers, strong teammates, and school pride continue to define what it means to be a Cadet.
