Join us in congratulating Mrs. Katie Doggett in her new role as the 7-12 Instructional Coach at West Point-Beemer!
Mrs. Doggett earned two bachelor’s degrees in Human Service Counseling from Wayne State College, as well as an Elementary Education degree from Buena Vista University. She later continued her education by earning a Master’s in PK-12 Reading from the University of Nebraska–Kearney and a Master’s in PK-12 School Administration from Midland University.
Mrs. Doggett previously taught grades 4-6 at Oakland-Craig and has spent the past six years as a Kindergarten teacher at West Point Elementary, also serving as an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State College.
In her new role, Mrs. Doggett is excited to dig into data to support both teachers and students and help drive continued growth across our school.
We are excited to see her step into this leadership role and look forward to the impact she will continue to make in our district!

‘Up Close and Personal’ with the 1985-1986 school year!
It was a time when the halls of WPHS were filled with personality and big hair! The One-Act team took first at conference, the Speech team hosted the second annual West Point Speech Invitational, the WP Club raised some big bucks’, and the yearbook staff got Up Close and Personal with our students as WPHS!

Hunter is a graduate of Bellevue West High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts with an endorsement in Music Education. Throughout his school years, he was actively involved in band, jazz band, choir, and a cappella, showcasing a strong passion for the arts. He also brings a unique background as a former college cheerleader.
Mr. Jones is excited to meet students who share a passion for band and is eager to help them grow their musical skills. He is also looking forward to encouraging more students to get involved in the arts while building connections with students, families, and staff at West Point-Beemer.
We are excited to have him join the Cadet family and look forward to the energy and enthusiasm he will bring to our music program!

1970: a time of moon landings, peace signs, and a world changing fast.
This yearbook was dedicated to retiring teacher Mr. Reuben Alberding, who gave 21 consecutive years to WPHS, leaving a lasting mark on generations of Cadets.
It also captured the graduation of the Class of 1970 in their final moments as Cadets, standing on the edge of a brand-new decade full of possibility.
As the ’60s faded and the ’70s began, one thing stayed constant: Cadet pride!

Students who are planning to enroll in P2T or dual credit classes next year will be applying to NECC this week and next. They will need their Social Security Numbers to complete this process.
Reminder for Seniors: Today is a good day to work on scholarships. Many scholarships are due by April 1st-including the West Point-Beemer Schools Foundation scholarships (March 25th) and Beemer Community Foundation scholarships (March 27th), as well as many others!

Myah is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she earned her degree in education. She studied Special Education (7-12) and also completed minors in Leadership and Communication. Ms. Anderson completed her student teaching at Lincoln North Star High School as part of their Life Skills team. After graduating in May 2025, she continued working at North Star High School, where she spent the past year teaching Life Skills.
Her students currently call her Ms. Anderson or Miss A, but after getting married this summer she will be teaching as Mrs. Kreikemeier.
Ms. Anderson is excited to join a supportive school community and is looking forward to getting to know the students and families she will be working with. She is eager to help each student grow in their own individual way, learn alongside fellow educators, and become part of the West Point community.

Cruising back to 2006–2007, when the yearbook theme was “Life is a Highway.” 🚗
Flip through those pages and you’d find the high schoolers ‘Back in the Fast Lane’, a survey of some car-related questions, and checking out the cost of goods in 2007 - when gas prices were climbing, flip phones were everywhere, and MySpace ruled the internet!
It was the era of iPods, side-swept bangs, and singing along to Rascal Flatts on the radio. Life really was a highway, and the Cadets were riding shotgun!

He continued his education at Concordia University Nebraska, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in secondary education and mathematics. While in college, he was also a member of the basketball team and competed for four years.
During the first semester of this year, Mr. Weismann completed his student teaching at East Butler and Lincoln Southeast. While at East Butler, he also served as an assistant football coach.
Mr. Weismann is looking forward to becoming a member of the Cadet family and is excited to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and members of the community.

Ms. Faubel will graduate from UNI in May 2026 with majors in Elementary Education and Middle Level Education, along with a minor in Spanish.
