Please help us extend a warm welcome to our new Physical Science & Math Teacher, Dalton Tremayne!
Dalton graduated from Ponca High School in 2018 and went on to attend Midland University, where he played football for four years and graduated in 2022. Following graduation, he spent three years at DC West as a Geometry and Pre-Algebra teacher and football coach. Dalton and his wife, Alison, currently live in West Point with their golden retriever, Timber. They enjoy the simple pleasures of Nebraska life—sitting by the fire, going for walks, cooking, playing board games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
This year, Dalton will be teaching Physical Science, Algebra 1 (8th grade), and providing math interventions. He will also serve as the Head Football Coach and plans to assist with junior high track.
Dalton completed his student teaching at West Point during the spring of 2022 under Mrs. Kelli Guenther. West Point is also where he and Alison began their first year of marriage. They are excited to return and be part of such a welcoming and supportive community. Dalton and Alison couldn’t imagine a better place to settle down and call home.

43 Years Ago in Cadet History…
During Homecoming week, each class put on skits that promoted a Cadet Victory at the football game vs Scribner.
A joint music concert was held between WPHS and C.C. to promote better relationships between the two schools, and a Science fair for both Senior High and Elementary also took place.
Lunch got a new change, and the Youth Advisory Council helped to get a Malt Machine installed, and the ice jam in the river was causing concerns for flooding, as it was the highest and closest it had been to flooding in years.

89 Years Ago in Cadet History…
The 1936 Cadet was the first time West Point High published a mimeographed annual, and because of budget cuts, this was the first annual since the 1931 school year (a five year gap). The West Pointer (newspaper) also suffered a two year gap during this time.
In place of Football, a Pugball league was started in the fall of 1935!
